Sound of rain in a car

This is a simple recording of the sound of rain from inside a car. Late evening, October 19th 2016, approx 9 C. Nothing special, just this subtle monotonous sound with varying intensity, which to me evokes some sleepy moods.

Recorded using my standard tree-ears microphones with a new (old) Microtrack 2496 recorder, instead of the usual Microtrack II. The MT 2496 was bought defective, but it came back to life after soldering micro-cracks in the display flat cable and replacing the battery  with a direct USB 5 V source on the same terminals. This looks to work fine.

The noise performance of this device appears to be on level or slightly better than the MT II when using the settings: +27db, Low sensitivity and minimum recording level.
